Home Information Packs required for three bedroom homes

From September 10, Home Information Packs (HIPS) are required for three-bedroom properties offered for sale.† HIPS were introduced originally for four-bedroom and larger properties on August 1.† The same legislation will eventually apply to smaller properties, but no date has yet been given.

For anyone advertising property on this website we are able to supply the necessary Home Information Pack.† However, only one HIP is needed per property, so if you are also advertising through an estate agent or other website, they will probably already have made the arrangements for you.† If you are not sure, don't worry - you can still place an advert on this website and we will check with you if there is any uncertainty.† E-mail

Other News - we are working on a new website which will allow advertisers to place adverts for 'Property Wanted'.† This will include accessible or adapted property if required.† We receive a lot of requests to help people find property and this should make the task slightly easier.† And intriguingly, for anyone selling property, the way that the new site works will mean that property of any size can be sold without the requirement to provide a HIP!† And yes, it is legal!† Watch these news pages for further details.
