At last – a really accessible London hotel!

There was a first for Christine and I last weekend - a comfortable two night stay in a central London hotel without having to take our own hoist! The Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury really does live up to expectations. Free disabled parking, a huge bedroom and accessible bathroom, plus a tracking ceiling hoist (which can be transferred to the bathroom) made life remarkably easy for us. The hotel even offers a choice of escape options in event of emergency (fortunately not needed!)

The hotel is within walking distance of both St Pancras and Euston stations and a few hundred yards from the British Museum. And the number of other wheelchair users shows that this is a hotel that takes access seriously. Do give it a try.
