Improved coverage for rental property

Improved coverage for rental property

†Persuading landlords (private and social) to identify and promote accessible property for rent has always been a struggle for us. There will be many reasons for this but we are pleased to announce the prospect of at least slight improvements in this area. Until now, we could only rely on regular advertising from Sheffield Homes (around 15 to 25 properties per week). That's great, but it's a bit tough if you don't live in Sheffield!

We now have access to a new database which will allow us to identify at least a few more wheelchair accessible properties for rent in other parts of the country, so it is worth checking our 'Property to let' pages regularly. You can help the situation by reminding any landlord with which you have contact - private or social - that the Accessible Property Register is here to help them identify and promote accessible and adapted property. Be insistent - tell them to contact us! With your help, life could become a lot easier for all of us who need accessible property.
