We think that the best way to test out holiday accommodation advertised on the APR website is to try it ourselves! Christine has no independent movement, and we often say that if something works for us, it will work for anyone.
This certainly proved to be true of Fowl Green Farm in our North Yorkshire region. Beautifully converted from the original farm buildings (with names like 'The Pigsty' and 'The Cow Byre'), the situation couldn't be more rural. And the accommodation and equipment certainly came up to scratch. Much helped by beautiful September sunshine, we had an excellent holiday, so congratulations to Sue Muir and her team for demonstrating yet again that disabled people don't need to compromise on facilities or standards when it comes to holidays.
Our holiday was later in the year than intended, but this is because holiday accommodation of this standard is booked up months in advance - a reminder to accommodation providers that investment in access can pay off handsomely for everyone. As, we hope, does advertising on the Accessible Property Register!
