Estate agents say ‘YES’ to access

The Accessible Property Register has teamed up with National Homes Network to establish the first national network of estate agents committed to promoting accessible and adapted property. These agencies will form the backbone of our 'Approved Partner' network

"We are delighted," said APR director Conrad Hodgkinson. "The service provided by our website has been very well received, but we have always known that to make a real impact, we had to involve estate agents. Our link with NHN means that we are now much better placed to recommend reliable estate agencies backed by the security of a major professional association."

Plans are in hand to support the enthusiasm of NHN members with additional training on disability equality and access issues. The training will be based on the successful 'Breaking Barriers Series' developed by Inclusive Living Sheffield and Working for Opportunities.

Revenue from NHN will help to support APR free services and we would therefore encourage anyone with property to sell or let, and who is looking for an estate agent, to ask us to recommend an APR Approved Partner agency in their area. The same applies if you are looking for property. And we would emphasise that there is no charge for the service!

Before we put you in touch with the relevant agency you will have had the opportunity to discuss your requirements with us. We then undertake to find the most appropriate estate agent in your area will provide contact details, including the name of an individual (frequently a partner or other senior member of staff), who will be happy to discuss your sale or purchase in detail.

This service applies to any residential property - it does not have to be accessible or adapted. However, we will be maintaining our policy of only accepting adverts for accessible or adapted property on this website.
